Energy efficiency to tackle energy poverty: what will the EED recast change? – Webinar Briefing

The SocialWatt project is organizing a series of webinars to discuss how energy efficiency schemes can tackle energy poverty, especially in the context of the Article 7 of  EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).

This first webinar, held on the 17th of November 2022, provided an update about the current proposal for the EED recast. A discussion took place on what could change in the EED and participants learned from the available experience in this field.

The panellists that participated in the discussions were: Veronika Jirickova (European Commission – DG ENER), Marion Santini (Regulatory Assistance Project), Andriana Stavrakaki (NTUA, coordinator of SocialWatt), Ioanna Giannouli (PPC, main Greek electricity supplier), Javier Tobias (ECODES, Spanish NGO) and Marco Peretto (IEECP). Jean-Sebastien Broc from IEECP moderated the discussions!

An overview of the webinar key results is available here.

All of the presentations are available online:
